I have such fond memories of my dance days, and the day has finally come for Maddie to start dance lessons too! She is such a girly girl who loves all things frilly, and has always loved to dance! We often have break out dance parties in the middle of the day. She loves for me to make up a dance, and then teach it to her 3-4 steps at a time, and she then mimics me! So, I knew she would love every minute of dance class. A few weeks ago, I struggled to find a class that worked with our schedules, or on a day that wasn't already busy with preschool. We finally decided on Wednesday's at 11:15 at Miss Maria's. Miss Maria's school of dance came highly recommended from some of our former neighbors, so we were excited to have found a class.
This morning, Maddie had her leotard & tutu on about 2 hours before class! She kept asking me if it was time to go. Finally we arrived, she looked over a few of her classmates, and in to the class she went. She is taking a combo Ballet & Acrobats class. While she was at class I left to go to the gym as parents are not allowed in to watch except for on designated days. When I came back to pick her up, they were still working on acrobats. They were completeing a workout course that included balance beam, trampoline, somersaults, and handstands. Maddie was beaming and bouncing along with every stage.
I am already lovin' every minute of it....and I think Maddie is too!
